Step 3: Tabulation of Results

The 1st place vote of each ballot cast will be counted. If the leading candidate at the end of round 1 has earned over 50% of the ballots cast, they are the winner.

If 50% has not been reached, the candidate in last place will be eliminated, and the second-preference votes from the people who selected the last-place candidate will be counted.

This instant runoff process will repeat until a candidate reaches 50% of the vote. Ensuring the final winner earns a majority.
